Duo hit the top

TWO kickboxers from Redditch’s Winspers Martial Arts Centre have achieved new black belt gradings.
Tim Brooks and Josh Phillips underwent a gruelling grading process before being awarded new Dan grades.
Brooks got his first Dan belt after a two-day exam, which included three hours of sparring and padwork.
This was followed by three hours of demonstrating his knowledge of the syllabus.
Meanwhile, Phillips is moving up to second Dan after three hours of sparring and padwork and four demonstrating his knowledge.
He was also awarded the club’s black belt grade of the year award, after finishing top of a shortlist which included fighters at gyms in Halesowen and Kidderminster.
